Your Pack / Troop website is hosted on a Sun Microsystems Cobalt Server running Linux with Apache. Management of your site can be controlled from any web browser using a simple and intuitive web interface. These pages will help you accomplish most of your routine tasks. Please make use of these resources as a first step before contacting technical support. If you have technical issues that these pages do not address, please send an email to greatplains@beartech.com.
Personalize Your Home Page
Use your favorite FTP application to move your website to the web server.

Be certain the name of
the file for your new home page is: index.html
Additionally, your site has been enabled so you can use Microsoft FrontPage. When FrontPage Server Extensions are enabled a FrontPage user named webmaster is created with a password specified when you signed up for your account. Be sure to open the site Root Web as the user webmaster. Other FrontPage user accounts for the site Root Web may be managed using the FrontPage client.
Managing your Web Site
To access your website administration page, go to your webpage and add /siteadmin to the URL. For example: pack2007.GreatPlainsBSA.org/siteadmin
You will be prompted to input your username and password. When you initially signed up for your site, you where asked for a username and password for your site administrator. This username and password will need to be input in order to proceed. The primary site administrator can create additional user accounts and if so desired can make additional users site administrators as well.

Creating Mailing Lists
To create mailing lists, you must first log on to your site as an administrator as described above. You can then select the
button on the left side menu.
