EVERY SCOUT DESERVES A TRAINED LEADER - Sign-up now for Leader Specific Training
Once a volunteer has a solid overview of the BSA’s values-based program, he or she can begin training for a specific Scouting position through Leader Specific training. This training provides the specialized knowledge a new leader needs to assume a leadership role. Because each course is designed for a specific leadership position, the training time varies.

A unique tribute to the history, traditions and spirit of the Boy Scouts of America will take place on October 29-31, 2010. Scouts and their leaders from the Circle Ten Council will come together for an outdoor celebration of the century. This event will be held at the Dallas Executive Airport in South Dallas. The Camporee will provide two nights of camping for Webelos, Boy Scouts, Venturers, adult leaders, and our special invited guests.

The Centennial Camporee will be the largest council-sponsored outdoor camping event held in North Texas. Saturday will be filled with competitions, events, an air show, and activities that are designed to offer fun and entertainment for the youth, leaders, and guests.

We expect 8,000 or more participants in this once in a lifetime celebration. Scouts will share the excitement and fun with others who believe in the values of Scouting and will make memories that will last a lifetime.

There is a great new resource for Cub and WEBELOS leaders called "My Cub Scout Wants to Go Camping." It provides detailed step by step information on what you need to do to have your dens or packs participate in really fun and exciting outdoor activities.  Follow the link below and there you can download this great tool and take your Scouts outdoors!!
