The district will forward all requests to your old domain name until January 1, 2009 to your new website if you notify us of the new website address.
There are lots of web hosting companies with a variety of services available to you. As mentioned previously, GoDaddy.com is one of these. If you go with one of these providers you will need to get your own domain name such as pack123.org, pack123bsa.org, pack123greatplains.org or other name of your choosing. Many of these web hosts provide this are part of their hosting plans.
A google search of web hosting returns a large number of options. This search can be further narrowed down by adding "BSA" or "scout" to the search.
We have located free unit webhosting at cubpacks.org or scouttroop.org. This will give you a domain name of something like pack123.cubpacks.org. Obviously they are very oriented towards scouting units and it is FREE!
There is also a special Google page oriented especially for Scout website hosting at http://www.google.com/Top/Recreation/Scouting/Resources/Web_Services/.
