51st Jamboree On The Air and Internet

The 51st Annual Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) is coming October 18th. This event gives scouts the opportunity to talk to scouts from around the world using Ham radios (JOTA) or computers (JOTI). Bring your units and give them the opportunity to experience Ham Radio and talk to other scouts. There is an associated merit badge that scouts can earn separately (the radio merit badge).

There will be radios and computers available for the scouts to use but you will need to sign up to secure your time.  We will be at Frank Beverly Park, 7112 Quarry Chase (behind the LDS Church where we hold Boy Scout Roundtable on Legacy between Custer and Independence at Quarry Chase).  Times from 9am to 3pm will be available.  If you would like to schedule a time for your unit to participate in JOTA/JOTI please contact Dick Thiot at dick@thiot.org or 214-727-1363.

Patches will be available for purchase for $4.00 ea. for both JOTA and JOTI. The patches look like the images above.
